With an average of 265 sunny days a year, the Gold Coast is not only one of the best places to surf in the world, it's also a great place to chill out and enjoy beach life.
From your base at Coolangatta YHA you'll be right on the north facing Coolangatta Beech and the famous Kirra Point, and have amazing views along the Gold Coast. There's plenty of fun to be had around the hostel in your down time, with a BBQ, swimming pool, basketball hoop, pool table and table tennis table on site, plus a skate park only a short walk away.
For those after a bit of adventure away from the beach, the Dream World and White Water World theme parks are just up to the North of the Gold Coast and are well worth a visit. Plus you'll have the opportunity to skydive, deep sea fish, snorkel with turtles and, of course, party in the Gold Coast's vast array of bars and nightclubs.
